Writing is an adventure I enjoy because I get to say what is in my heart and do not care if anyone else likes it, or not. I get to feel better because I got it out, and you never know someone else may agree with me, or like what I say. As I get older, I find myself becoming more anti-social as the days continue. Giving this fact writing at my age may reveal that I believe a lot of people in the world at this time are out of their minds.
I dream of a 40 acre farm with goats and sheep playing in the pasture. I can hear a pony galloping across the pasture at full gate with heels flying wildly in the air as he flies past me. I can see my grandchildren playing on the rope swing hanging from the tree in the backyard. I can feel the old Allis Chambers WC bouncing back in forth under me as I plow a field to plant hay. Time and the pace of life are relaxed and enjoyable. I find myself in an old episode of the Twilight Zone where a man on a train keeps going back in time to a place called Willabee. Then I have to leave my house to go to town and find myself in the middle of a panicked, insane, rushed, frenzied world called the technological age.
No one seems to be able to be alone during this age. Everyone is always on a computer, or cell phone, or blackberry, or something so they do not have to be alone. A lot of people are not willing to slow down, or be held up for any reason. My mother was almost hurt yesterday, while trying to make a left hand. She had stopped and had her turn signal on waiting for an oncoming car to get past so she could finish her turn. While waiting she looked in her rear view mirror and saw a car sitting a few yards behind her. Then she saw a genus (sarcasm statement) flying up behind the other a car at about 80 miles per hour. The genus (once again sarcasm) who either did not want to slow down, or was not unable to slow down in time came sliding in between my mother and the car behind her. The genus continued to slide through to the right hand side of my mother’s car and continued his flight down the road. This person showed no regard whatsoever for people he may have hurt, or killed, and it was a great day for the genus because he did not have to slow down.
Continuing my thought train on this subject what is with the nano-second stops that people make nowadays. I get so tired of people pulling out in front of me when I am within ten feet of them with no one behind me. It is as though they will die if they have to wait at least one minute for me to get past. So they pull out in front of me. I have to slam my brakes on to keep from hitting them, and usually they have a cell phone pasted to the side of their faces. So I get to yell at the genus (sarcasm again, my anti-social attitude coming out) who just pulled out in front of me. I know they cannot hear me, but I get to feel better.
In continuing this rant what is with the brilliant people (also sarcasm) who have to set two inches behind my back bumper. The road is wide open ahead of me, but they will not past me, they just need to sit two inches from my bumper. Perhaps they are lonely, I don’t know, but I do get tired of being afraid I am going to get pushed down the road. I guess they cannot figure out if I have to stop in a hurry they are going to be sitting in my back seat. I guess that does not matter, because they continue to sit there two inches from my back bump talking on the phone happy as can be.
In closing I miss the time when I was a boy and people like my grandfather could drive down the road at 35 miles an hour without fear of being pulled out of the car; and beat down because the person behind him had to slow down for two seconds until they could past him. I miss the slower paces of life that I saw in the past, and guess what if you are alone for 5 minutes you will not die of loneliness.

School Vouchers

The pros and cons of school vouchers are well laid out in common sense. I hate having to pay for the education of other people kids. Making sure other people’s kids get an education is not my responsibility. And this is where school vouchers lay, people who want their kids to go to school where they want, want other people to pay for it. School vouchers some times called scholarships are just a way for people to get their kids into private schools.
We all live under the assumption that private schools are better, which is not always the case. So to get their kids into these, usually much more expensive than public school, the parents get vouchers for their children to go to private school. If people want their children into private schools, they should pay for it not the government. Because when you say you have a voucher from the government you are saying, I am paying for it through my taxes. In addition, I am paying enough out of my hard-earned money in the form of taxes to pay for other people’s kid’s education.
Many people freak out about private schools they have to pay for because they usually are religious schools. Heaven forbid our children should be in safer schools being taught about God. This is the only pro of vouchers I could find if children would be in a school where they are taught of God, and His rules which can help them to be better human beings.
I find no other pros of school vouchers; just cons, it is all just a scheme, as I said before to get the privilege of getting your children in a private school and has someone else pay for it. I even went on the Internet and could only find people making comments of anger over school vouchers.

Polar Bears are Disappearing

What shall we do without polar bears, polar bears are slowly disappearing because they are drowning. How can an animal that is designed to be able to swim drown? Very simple polar bears rely on ice packs to be able to get out of the water to rest. When there is no ice for the polar bear to be able to get out of the water to rest they drown. Another problem which is causing the polar bear numbers to go down is the fact that polar bears patrol ice packs looking for seal breathing holes. They know this is where they can find one of their favorite foods seals. No ice, polar bears have a harder time finding seals so more bears are found dead because of starvation. Polar bears are also known to turn to cannibalism in times of starvation, which means that adults bears, are killing many younger bears.

So, who is the culprit behind the disappearance of the ice causing the shrinking of the polar bear numbers; of course, it is people through pollution. We are filing the atmosphere with so much carbon dioxide, that it is causing the temperature of the earth to raise to the point that the ice of the Arctic is disappearing. What happens is carbon dioxide, which is also called greenhouse gases are causing the atmosphere to trap the heat of the earth, on the earth raising the temperature of the earth. This heat would normally escape into outer space, but greenhouse gases are not allowing this. Therefore, as we continue to pollute increasing the levels of greenhouse gases, the earth temperatures continue to rise melting the ice packs of the Arctic. Moreover making us, people responsible for the quickly disappearing bears. I can not tell you how long until these great bears disappear, but if we each do not start doing our part to turn this around, we may see them disappear before we know it.
