The pros and cons of school vouchers are well laid out in common sense. I hate having to pay for the education of other people kids. Making sure other people’s kids get an education is not my responsibility. And this is where school vouchers lay, people who want their kids to go to school where they want, want other people to pay for it. School vouchers some times called scholarships are just a way for people to get their kids into private schools.
We all live under the assumption that private schools are better, which is not always the case. So to get their kids into these, usually much more expensive than public school, the parents get vouchers for their children to go to private school. If people want their children into private schools, they should pay for it not the government. Because when you say you have a voucher from the government you are saying, I am paying for it through my taxes. In addition, I am paying enough out of my hard-earned money in the form of taxes to pay for other people’s kid’s education.
Many people freak out about private schools they have to pay for because they usually are religious schools. Heaven forbid our children should be in safer schools being taught about God. This is the only pro of vouchers I could find if children would be in a school where they are taught of God, and His rules which can help them to be better human beings.
I find no other pros of school vouchers; just cons, it is all just a scheme, as I said before to get the privilege of getting your children in a private school and has someone else pay for it. I even went on the Internet and could only find people making comments of anger over school vouchers.
